We are looking for an Account Manager to join our New Climate Business team at Vaisala, of our base in Exeter, United Kingdom.

What's your role?
You will be part of our New Climate Business, within our Weather, Energy & Environment business area. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to grow Vaisala's Quanterra Systems business by driving sales of site-specific atmospheric flux monitoring services globally. In this role you will be working in close cooperation with customers, business partners, distributors, and internal functions. You will report to Beccy Mitchell, Manager, Carbon Solutions.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining customer accounts by building trust and engagement, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer success
- Proactively seeking new customers and leads, turning them into opportunities, and successfully closing deals
- Promoting Vaisala Quanterra solutions by visiting customers, participating in exhibitions and conferencees, organizing seminars, and contributing to working groups
- Preparing quotations and tenders in line with our sales process and strategy
- Ensuring profitable sales by forecasting, budgeting, and developing your sales funnel
- Acting as a subject matter expert on customer needs and market conditions, translating customer requirements and feedback into insights and actions for relevant internal business functions
What will you bring?
- Previous technical sales experience and familiarity with customer trade practices, contracts, and financing instruments
- Knowledge of carbon monitoring approaches in food supply chains, agriculture, nature-based solutions, or ecosystem research
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with customer-service mindset
- Self-motivated, flexible, and well-organized team player with the persistence to close deals
- Eagerness to grow expertise by learning industry standards such as carbon measurement protocols and market dynamics
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a strong advantage
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
