What is your role? 
By joining our Xweather team, you will work on projects where accuracy, precision, and reliability are crucial, making a tangible difference in the renewable energy landscape. 
Your role will involve optimizing large-scale datasets, developing scientific data pipelines, and building scalable APIs to support cutting-edge renewable energy applications.
Reporting to the Head of R&D your main missions will be to: 
-    Develop and maintain software solutions to process and analyze large datasets related to solar irradiance
-    Develop APIs and services for data retrieval, transformation, and visualization
-    Work with geospatial data formats (NetCDF, HDF5, GeoTIFF) and integrate external APIs (NASA, PVGIS, NSRDB)
-    Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like AWS
-    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
-    Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency and scalability
-    Document code, processes, and methodologies for future reference

 

What are you going to bring? 
Minimum master’s degree Engineering School or University in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and minimum 3 years of experience a track record of building and maintaining scalable backend systems within an international and industrial environment.

Technical knowledge and skills :
-    Proficiency in backend programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Go
-    Leveraging Pandas and other data manipulation tools for efficient computation
-    Hands-on experience with API development using Frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
-    Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services like Lambda and ECS for serverless and containerized applications
-    Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker
Interpersonal skills :
-    Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and adaptability in a cross-cultural, multi-time-zone environments  
-    Fluent in English, with clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. French will be a plus 
-    Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with an understanding of iterative development and team collaboration
-    Analytical mindset, capable of breaking down complex problems and designing efficient solutions

-    Phone Interview (HR) : 10/20 min
-    Face-to-face/Teams interview (Manager + team): 1h30
-    Written test 3 hours and feedback
-    Final interview with N+2: 30 min
