Production Assembler

Position Description:

We are currently searching for a qualified Production Assembler in our Louisville, Colorado office. This person will inspect, assemble, clean, and pack products in accordance with established standards.  

 

Vaisala Operations sources, manufactures, and delivers all Vaisala’s products. We drive excellence in high-mix, low-volume production. The command of a large product portfolio, in-house manufacturing of key technologies and partnership-based sourcing have always been our core strength. We manufacture products with short lead times and high delivery accuracy without compromising quality.

 

Per Vaisala policy, the successful candidate for this role will be vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Assemble assigned product parts in a production cell in accordance with production guidelines and instructions. 
  • Perform spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.
  • Notify Team Leader of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
  • Cross train with other team members.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures with special attention to safety regulations. 
  • Assist with inventory counting and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Participate in 5S, LEAN and Continual Improvement of the Manufacturing floor.
  • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
  • Display attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
  • Observe ESD protocols. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience.  Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience assembling, operating, troubleshooting, and/or maintain electronics, electromechanical, computer, and communications equipment.
  • General knowledge of soldering and ESD material handling.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical Skills (including familiarity with hand tools).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • General knowledge of soldering and ESD material handling.
  • This position requires standing, sitting, kneeling, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or team lift > 75 lbs.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $24-26 an hour. (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).  Additionally, we offer our employees a competitive benefits package which is outlined below.
