Inside Sales Representative

Industrial Measurements business area serves a wide range of industries and applications ranging from pharmaceutical to food industries, and from warehouses to power transformers. It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products. 

Position Description:
We are currently searching for an Inside Sales Representative in our Woburn, Massachusetts office.  This person will manage and support sales activity including quoting, opportunity management, outbound sales prospecting, eCommerce support.   The successful candidate for this role will be vaccinated against COVID-19, pursuant to Executive Order 14042.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Qualify, quote, and follow up on sales opportunities
  • Promote after-sales services to customers
  • Provide product and application support via live video meetings, phone, email, and chat
  • Manage demo equipment stock
  • Manage pricing guides
  • Webinar creation and/or support
  • Input customer data and daily activity utilizing CRM tools
  • Prospecting through outbound targeted campaigns
  • Travel as needed to support customer presentations
  • Other tasks as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or other relevant disciplines and 3-5 years of related technical or inside sales experience.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to lead-self through time management, organization, and prioritizing tasks 
  • Ability to manage fast-paced workflow and multiple projects
  • Reliable and acts with a sense of urgency, work in a collaborative team environment
  • Customer focus with the ability to communicate service features and benefits
  • Ability to learn the market, product, and application knowledge
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation
  • Act with integrity, aligned with Vaisala values
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to fluently communicate in English.  Relevant language skills for region supported are desired.
